Location: 1.5 miles east of Tahoe City. Price Range: Mid-$500k’s to $3.5m. Lakefronts: $3m – $4.5m

This is one of the best neighborhoods at Tahoe. It’s low-elevation and faces mostly south. The amenities are great with lakeview tennis courts, a deep water pier, large mooring field and sandy beach with storage for kayaks, canoes, etc. In the middle of the neighborhood there is a big swimming pool, lawn, volleyball, and more tennis courts. In summer Dollar Point has open air movies on the lawn. It’s a great morning walk neighborhood and you’ll see lots of folks enjoying the views and checking out lakefronts while others chuff up the hills to get in a good workout.

Dollar Point is a fantastic spot for rental income because of its proximity to Tahoe City and all the ski areas. For lots of savvy vacationers, Dollar Point is as far from town as people want to be especially because it’s before the sometimes-treacherous downhill as you head away from town into Cedar Flat. Some of the best mountain biking (and cross country skiing) in all of Tahoe is across the street starting from the Nordic Center.
