Quick snapshot of new listings to note: Three in Agate Bay (one of those a short sale); one trustee sale on Yacht Street in the phenomenal Old Brockway neighborhood near Tahoe’s locally famous (!) Speedboat Beach; one new listing in Dollar Point; and three more in Chamberlands including one REO / foreclosure. This data is from the Tahoe Sierra MLS and these are not my listings.
In the Tahoe Basin, there were a total of 37 new listings this month which is a pretty big jump. We typically see an increase like this right after the holidays – for both buyers and sellers – because Tahoe gets so busy this time of year. Granted activity ramps down quite a bit until the beginning of summer, but things have been fairly active this winter. Great property in Tahoe always sells and we are never surprised to see multiple offers even in a down economy.
