New Listings in Tahoe this Month

Here’s a quick update on some listing activity in the Tahoe Sierra MLS:

3 new ones in Agate Bay on the North Shore. It appears this neighborhood is getting hit by the economy – two of the new listings are short sales and one is an REO/foreclosure. Prices are from the $300k’s to $429k. Dollar Point has one re-listed property for $899,000 (this was listed $1.495m at one point).

Also, a big lakefront hit the market with a new price this month – $10,487,500. This represents a substantial drop from its initial offering which was $14,950,000.

Tahoe Sierra Estates / Olympic First Quarter Update

The market for TSE / Olympic homes is always good if the price is reasonable. There just doesn’t happen to be too much on the market right now. One of the lakefronts just fell off the market and a short sale which has been in and out escrow and off and back on the market since 2009 finally closed (Congrats to everyone involved with that one – what a long trip).

Dollar Point Foreclosure & Other Sales

A quick update: Dollar Point foreclosure sells for $515k – buyers planning on putting a bunch into it. One other sale this Quarter making the Spring grand total 2 sales.
