In a previous blog, I mentioned the Dollar Point lakefront which dropped price from $3.4m to $2.9m and received 5 offers in 5 days. Recent sales pinned the value of this property at just over $3m. The winning bid came in at $2.95m cash and closed in under 3 weeks. This is a nice case of a multiple offer scenario where the winning buyer didn’t end up going over market value – in fact they were able to scoop this one up quickly for roughly 3% under normal market value.
