One of Tahoe’s premier lakefront properties closed today for $8.6m; it was last listed for $10.5m. Flick Point is a little-known spot just east of Carnelian Bay’s Patton Landing Beach. I lived right near here for almost 10 years and it’s a magic place. It’s got a few large parcels like this one and some which are smaller (~3/4-acre). They face due south with fantastic views of Mt. Tallac, Tahoe’s most European peak. Although they don’t have the deep water that you find in Hurricane Bay, the piers of most of these properties go out far enough to keep hulls wet most years. This particular estate was sited on 1.3 acres with a meandering lane taking you to a 5100 square-foot lodge which was modeled after Yosemite’s famed Ahwahnee Hotel.
